• Description: MK-1064 is a pyrazole compound that has been shown to possess antitumor activity. The antitumor activity of MK-1064 is based on its ability to bind with high affinity to wild-type human liver cancer cells in vitro and in vivo, as well as its ability to inhibit the proliferation of these cells. MK-1064 also binds with high affinity to human liver, but not other organs such as kidney or lung. This drug has been shown to be safe and effective in women with breast cancer and humans with liver cancer, although it has not been tested in men. The clinical development of MK-1064 was terminated due to lack of efficacy.
