Description :Cis-4-[[(2-Amino-3,5-dibromophenyl)methyl]amino]cyclohexanol (cis-DBCL) is a drug that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of lung diseases. It has been shown to improve lung function and reduce the amount of lung damage caused by surfactant deficiency in rats. Cis-DBCL also improves endothelial function and reduces inflammation in mice with chronic pulmonary fibrosis. The antiinflammatory effect of cis-DBCL is due to its ability to inhibit the production of prostaglandin E2 and nitric oxide.
