The allylation of 4-tert-Butylpyridin-2-amine with terminal alkynes is the most common reaction, which is used to form dendrons, dendrimers, and other compounds. This molecule can be oxidised to form carboxylic acids or hydrosilylated to form terminal alkynes. 4-tert-Butylpyridin-2-amine has also been shown to react with uv irradiation.
