Description

K-Strophanthoside is a potent inhibitor of kinases, which are enzymes that play a crucial role in the regulation of cellular functions. It is an analog of neopterin, a biomarker for immune system activation. K-Strophanthoside has been shown to inhibit the growth of human cancer cells by interfering with the activity of kinases involved in tumor progression and survival. This makes it a promising candidate for anticancer therapy. In addition, K-Strophanthoside has been found to induce apoptosis, or programmed cell death, in cancer cells. This compound can be detected in urine and has been used as a diagnostic marker for certain types of cancers in Chinese medicine.
