Description :
Britannilactone is a sesquiterpene lactone that belongs to the class of natural products. It has been found in 18 plant species and has been shown to have significant cytotoxicity against cancer cells. Britannilactone is primarily used as an analytical reagent for taxol, although it has also been shown to inhibit melanogenesis and clinical studies are underway for its use in autoimmune diseases and hepatitis.
