Description :
Terbumeton is a triazine herbicide that inhibits the enzyme acetyl-CoA carboxylase, which is required for fatty acid synthesis. Terbumeton has shown high resistance to many herbicides and can be used as an analytical reagent in analytical chemistry. It is also used to study the interactions of hormones, such as glucocorticoids, with glucocorticoid receptors. Terbumeton binds to these receptors and blocks their function. This can be done using flow system or dispersive solid-phase extraction techniques for sample preparation. Terbumeton is also used in analytical methods, such as LC-MS/MS methods for urine samples.
