• Description: 2-(3,4-Dimethoxyphenyl)-5-[2-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)ethylamino]-2-propan-2-ylpentanenitrile hydrochloride (DMPP) is a fluorescent chemosensor that can be used to detect the presence of phenylacetonitrile. It has been shown to have a linear response to phenylacetonitrile concentrations in rat plasma and also reacts with other compounds containing nitrogen atoms.
