5-Bromo-2-chloro-N-cyclopentylpyrimidin-4-amine (5BCPP) is an organic compound that is a divalent, chemical reaction. It has been shown to have selective antiproliferative activity against cancer cells. The functional groups of 5BCPP are aliphatic and isomeric. It also has impurities such as chloro compounds, which can be removed by using various methods of isolation such as chromatography and crystallization. 5BCPP can be synthesized from 2,4,6-trichloropyrimidine in two steps: first it undergoes a reaction with cyclopentyl bromide to form the corresponding chlorocyclopentane, followed by a reaction with ammonia to form the desired product.
