• Description: 1-Fluoronaphthalene is a polyunsaturated compound that is used in analytical chemistry for the determination of test samples. It is an inhibitor of the enzyme IDO1, which plays an important role in the regulation of immune function, and has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. 1-Fluoronaphthalene can be synthesized by reacting n-dimethyl formamide with hydrogen fluoride and then adding a diazonium salt and hydrochloric acid. The UV absorption spectrum of 1-fluoronaphthalene displays a maximum at 248 nm. This compound binds to cation channels on cells, causing hyperpolarization.
