Description :
Didesmethyl erlotinib is a drug that is used to treat patients with cancer. It binds to the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and inhibits its activation by the epidermal growth factor (EGF). Didesmethyl erlotinib has been shown to be effective in reducing the size of lung tumours when combined with chemotherapy. Didesmethyl erlotinib binds to plasma proteins, which may affect its distribution in the body. The drug also affects levels of other drugs in the blood, which may lead to an increase or decrease in their effectiveness.
