4-Methoxy-N,N-dimethylphenethylamine is a natural product that has been shown to inhibit the transfer of bacteria from the environment to food. It also has regulatory properties and can be used as a supplement in dietary drinks. 4-Methoxy-N,N-dimethylphenethylamine is an alkaloidal extract and has been shown to have antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli, Salmonella enterica, and Listeria monocytogenes.
