• Description: N-[1-(R)-(-)-(1-Naphthyl)ethyl]-3-[3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-1-aminopropane hydrochloride is a synthetic compound that is used for the treatment of hyperparathyroidism. It inhibits parathyroid hormone (PTH) synthesis by inhibiting the enzyme responsible for PTH synthesis, which is called adenyl cyclase.
