Description

1-b-D-Ribofuranosyl-1,2,4-triazole-3-carboxylic acid (1bRT) is an amide that inhibits the growth of viruses by inhibiting the viral enzyme thiosemicarbazide. It has been shown to be active against specific viruses such as HIV and retroviruses. 1bRT is used to treat lung diseases caused by viruses, including bronchiolitis, pneumonia, and pulmonary fibrosis. It also has antibacterial properties.
