Description :
PKR inhibitor is a compound that inhibits the activity of PKR, an intracellular protein kinase. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. PKR inhibitor induces apoptosis by inhibiting mitochondrial membrane potential and blocking signal pathways that regulate cell survival. The structure of this compound has been determined using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography. PKR inhibitor also affects energy metabolism by inhibiting mitochondrial function and altering glucose uptake, which may be related to its anticancer activities.
