Description :
2-Methoxyphenyl trifluoromethanesulfonate is a cocatalyst that is used in the polymerization of alkynylsilanes. It can be used as an additive to increase the acidity of chlorides, or it can be used to displace chloride from an organic molecule. 2-Methoxyphenyl trifluoromethanesulfonate has been shown to mediate cross-coupling reactions with a wide range of functional groups. This compound also has the ability to catalyze reactions involving chlorides and is often used in aerobic conditions, such as chlorination reactions.
