Description

Spectinabilin is a natural product that belongs to the class of polyenes. It has been shown to have cytotoxic and anti-inflammatory properties in vitro. The biological properties of spectinabilin have been studied by using human liver cancer cell lines and colinearity with hepg2 cells, which are human hepatoma cells. Spectinabilin has also been shown to be a promising candidate for the treatment of autoimmune diseases and cancer. This compound also has asymmetric synthesis capabilities, which may lead to new drug development.
