Description

1-(7Z-Pentadecenoyl)-rac-glycerol is a hydrophobic molecule that can be reconstituted in water and diffracted. It has been shown to have an x-ray structure with a helical conformation. This molecule is synthesized by the enzyme bacterial acyltransferase, which is specific for acyl chains containing 16 to 18 carbon atoms.
