Informations sur le produit
Acetoxyvalerenic acid is a constituent of Valerian extracts. It has been shown to have analgesic and sedative properties, as well as the ability to reduce anxiety. Acetoxyvalerenic acid behaves like valerenic acid and can be used in the synthesis of valerenic acid or its derivatives. Acetoxyvalerenic acid has also been shown to inhibit gamma-aminobutyric acid uptake by rat brain synaptosomes and cell cultures, which may be due to its ability to inhibit transport pathways for GABA. This compound is a glucuronide conjugate of valeric acid, which means that it is metabolized by glucuronidase enzymes into an acetate extract.
