Description

Trans-1,4-Bis(aminomethyl)cyclohexane is a synthetic chemical that belongs to the group of cycloaliphatic amines. It is a colorless liquid with a sweet odor. It has been shown to be carcinogenic in animal studies and can affect blood pressure. Trans-1,4-Bis(aminomethyl)cyclohexane is used as an intermediate in the production of terephthalic acid, which is used in the manufacture of polyester fabrics. The reaction system consists of alkali metal and trans-1,4-bis(aminomethyl)cyclohexane. This reaction system leads to the formation of the cis and trans isomers of 1,4-cyclohexanediamine.
