Description :1-Phenylcyclopentan-1-ol is an estrogenic compound that has been shown to be a potent contraceptive. It inhibits the production of estrogens, which are responsible for the development and maintenance of female reproductive tissues. 1-Phenylcyclopentan-1-ol also has anti-cancer activity, as it can inhibit the growth of cancer cells by inhibiting protein synthesis or cell division. This compound has been shown to have no effect on fertility in rats and rabbits. 1-Phenylcyclopentan-1-ol is also an alkoxy radical scavenger and can be used as a treatment for fatty acid peroxidation.
