Description :
Pinacidil is a drug that is used to treat low blood sugar levels in patients with chronic bowel disease. It acts by stimulating the production of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) and opening potassium channels, which leads to increased glucose uptake by cells. Pinacidil also has a positive effect on the myocardium and prevents myocardial infarct. In addition, pinacidil has been shown to stimulate pluripotent cells such as embryonic stem cells or induced pluripotent stem cells. This drug can be used for body formation in experimental models of bowel disease.
