Ethyl 3-(2,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-3-oxopropanoate (EMPO) is a natural product that has been shown to inhibit estrogen receptor activity in breast cancer cells. EMPO is an estrogen receptor modulator that binds to the estrogen receptor and inhibits its activity by binding to its ligand (estrogen).
