Description

Cinchonain IB is a medicinal compound that has shown to be an effective inhibitor of kinases in cancer cells. It is an analog of cinchonine, which is found in the bark of the Cinchona tree. Cinchonain IB has been shown to induce apoptosis, or programmed cell death, in human tumor cells. It works by inhibiting protein kinases that are involved in cancer cell proliferation and survival. This compound has potential as an anticancer drug due to its ability to selectively target cancer cells while sparing healthy cells. Cinchonain IB has also been detected in Chinese urine samples and may have additional therapeutic uses beyond its anticancer properties.
