Informations sur le produit
2-Bromo-3-methoxyphenol is a reactive, primary alcohol that reacts with pyridinium salts to produce classically nucleophilic bromonium ions. The reaction mechanism for this type of reaction can be described as an electrophilic substitution reaction in which the nucleophile (HBr) attacks the carbonyl carbon, breaking the bond and leading to an addition product. The reactivity of 2-bromo-3-methoxyphenol is enhanced by steric interactions with substituents on the phenyl ring. Bromonium ions are typically unstable and can undergo rearrangement reactions leading to epoxide formation. Galanthamine is a lactam that has been shown to have both anticholinergic and antihistaminic effects. Side effects include dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, difficulty urinating and headache.
