Description

GSK369796 Dihydrochloride is a novel antiviral agent that inhibits the viral life cycle by interfering with the synthesis of viral RNA. This drug is an inhibitor of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and the hepatitis C virus (HCV). GSK369796 Dihydrochloride has been shown to be effective in reducing viral load in HIV-infected patients, as well as HCV-infected patients who are resistant to existing therapies. The molecular modeling studies indicate that it has a high affinity for certain chemical structures that are found in natural compounds, such as chlorine atoms. GSK369796 Dihydrochloride can be used for specific treatment of AIDS and hepatitis C. It also shows no significant inhibitory activities against human cells in vitro assays, which means it does not have toxicity in humans.
