Informations sur le produit
2-Methoxy-6-nitro-phenyl)-methyl-amine is a nitrogenous compound that has been found to have antitumor effects. It is an analog of colchicine, which inhibits the synthesis of DNA and RNA by binding to the colchicine binding site on the enzyme topoisomerase II. This inhibition prevents cells from dividing and leads to cell death. 2-Methoxy-6-nitro-phenyl)-methyl-amine has been shown to bind to tumor xenografts in mice, as well as cancer cell lines grown in culture, but not normal murine tissues. The structure of this compound is hydrophobic, which may account for its ability to cross biological membranes.
