It has a crystalline structure with two dimers that are hydrogen-bonded together and oriented in an anti-parallel fashion. 2-(2-Chlorophenoxy)-benzoic acid has the chemical formula of C8H5ClO2 and is composed of a benzene ring with two substituents on each side of the ring. These substituents are chlorine atoms that have been substituted for hydrogens.
