Informations sur le produit
2,4-Dichloro-5-fluorotoluene is an intermediate in the synthesis of other chlorinated compounds. 2,4-Dichloro-5-fluorotoluene is produced by the reaction of chlorine with toluene and sulfur. 2,4-Dichloro-5-fluorotoluene can also be obtained by reacting toluene with a mixture of sodium nitrite and sulfuric acid. The process of chlorination produces dichloroethane, which is converted into dichloromethane by acetylation with acetic anhydride. Diazotization converts the dichloromethane into diazonium salts that react with ammonia to produce 2,4-dichloro-5-nitrotoluenes. These are then reacted with benzaldehyde to produce 2,4-dichloroquinazolinones.
