Description

Glucolimnathin potassium is a natural product that belongs to the group of phytochemicals. It is a secondary metabolite that was isolated from the root of Glycyrrhiza glabra L. (licorice) and has been identified as an anti-inflammatory agent. Glucolimnathin potassium has been shown to inhibit inflammatory responses by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins and leukotrienes, which are inflammatory mediators. Glucolimnathin potassium also inhibits the release of histamine, which may be due to its ability to inhibit phosphodiesterases and cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby preventing the conversion of arachidonic acid into prostaglandins and leukotrienes.
