Description :
(S,R,S)-AHPC-C3-NH2 is a synthetic peptide that activates protein kinase C (PKC) and has been shown to inhibit the activity of the potassium ion channel Kv1.5 in cells. It also inhibits PKC activation by peptidyl phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PIP2). The affinity of this compound for the receptor or ligand is not known, but it has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of PKC activation with an IC50 value of 1 nM. This research tool is used in cell biology and pharmacology research.
