• Description: Atractyloside is a natural compound that can be extracted from plants. It has been shown to have pluripotent activity, which means it can differentiate into different types of cells. Atractyloside also exhibits antioxidant and anti-apoptotic properties, which are believed to be due to its ability to increase mitochondrial membrane potential and reduce reactive oxygen species production. Atractyloside has also been shown to protect against neuronal death in vitro and in vivo by inhibiting the activation of caspase-dependent cell death pathways.
