Cobalt Iron Oxide is a multi-walled carbon nanotube that has shown to have low thermal expansion, high chemical stability, and low energy. This material has been used in the development of electrodes for use in human liver cells. The cobalt iron oxide is able to inhibit the growth of cancerous cells by inducing apoptosis, or programmed cell death. The diameter of the particles is about 10-30 nm and the particles are spherical in shape with an average size of 20 nm.
