Informations sur le produit
1-(1,3-Thiazol-2-yl)-2-pyrrolidinone (1T2P) is a neurotoxin that is used as an active compound in insecticides. 1T2P has been shown to have a toxic effect on the central nervous system and it also inhibits the activity of acetylcholinesterase, which leads to an accumulation of acetylcholine at synapses. 1T2P has been shown to be more potent than picrotoxin and xylene, which are two other neurotoxins. The molecular docking study showed that 1T2P binds to the receptor site of acetylcholinesterase. The rotarod test was used to measure motor coordination and balance in mice treated with 1T2P and found that they had impaired motor coordination compared to untreated control mice. This indicates that 1T2P may cause neurotoxicity by inhibiting acetylcholinesterase activity.
