Description

D-Gluconic acid manganese salt is a wild-type strain that is used to treat infectious diseases. The mechanism of action is not yet fully understood, but it has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria by binding to the cell wall and disrupting bacterial enzymes. It also has been shown to bind to calcium ions, which can lead to cardiac problems. The drug can be used in combination with other antimicrobial agents, such as malonic acid, for the treatment of infections caused by methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
