Description

Delphinidin 3-galactoside chloride is a natural organic compound that belongs to the flavonol glycosides. It is a pigment that has been identified in flowers and fruits, such as the fruit tree. This compound exhibits antioxidant properties and can scavenge radicals, which may be due to its ability to inhibit dehydroascorbate reductase activity. Delphinidin 3-galactoside chloride also has an effect on high cholesterol levels, which may be due to its ability to inhibit HMG-CoA reductase activity. In addition, it has been shown that this compound can inhibit the growth of human pathogens such as P. aeruginosa and S. aureus.
