Tralkoxydim inhibits the fatty acid biosynthesis by blocking the desaturase enzyme, which converts saturated fatty acids into unsaturated fatty acids. The molecular response of tralkoxydim includes an increase in reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, which leads to oxidative stress-induced apoptosis.
