Description

2-Hydroxy imiquimod is a chemical compound belonging to the group of indole compounds. It has the chemical formula C9H12N2O3 and the molecular weight of 180.216 g/mol. 2-Hydroxy imiquimod is a white to off-white crystalline powder that reacts with hydrochloric acid to produce hydrogen chloride and 2-hydroxy imidazolinone. The compound has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis.
