Description

D-Fructose 6-phosphate disodium salt hydrate is a potent chemical that has been used in animal and human studies for the treatment of infertility. D-Fructose 6-phosphate disodium salt hydrate has been shown to be an effective spermatozoa motility agent, which is due to its ability to form hydrogen bonds with the phospholipid bilayer of the plasma membrane. In vitro experiments have shown that this agent can also be used as a supravital stain for cells in culture. The primary cells studied were from the sperm of Bubalus bubalis. D-Fructose 6-phosphate disodium salt hydrate is also able to induce phosphatase activity in various types of human serum, including basic fibroblast, fatty acid and human serum.
