Informations sur le produit
2,5-Diethynylpyridine is a redox cycle organometallic compound that can be synthesized from diethylzinc and pyridine. It has a diode with a peak wavelength of 402 nm, which makes it useful for optical applications such as photodiodes. 2,5-Diethynylpyridine has shown good transport properties in electrochemical methods and is reversibly oxidized by oxygen at the cathode to form 2,5-diethoxyperoxybenzoic acid (2,5-DEOB). This compound is also an important precursor for the synthesis of ferrocene. In addition, 2,5-diethynylpyridine has been shown to have optical properties that are sensitive to changes in its environment.
