Informations sur le produit
Ethyl 5-bromobenzofuran-3-carboxylate is a synthetic compound that has been shown to inhibit the polymerase activity of the hepatitis C virus (HCV) NS5B protein. It has also been shown to bind to and inhibit human RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRP) as well as other DNA and RNA polymerases. Ethyl 5-bromobenzofuran-3-carboxylate binds to HCV NS5B and prevents it from creating more viral particles. Ethyl 5-bromobenzofuran-3-carboxylate inhibits the RdRP by binding to it in a way that prevents its ability to synthesize RNA. This drug is an analog of benzofuranyl carboxamide, which was found in a screen for compounds with antiviral activity against HCV, HIV, herpes simplex virus 1 and 2, influenza A virus, and vesicular stomatitis virus
