Description

Geniposide is a natural plant product that has been shown to produce hypoglycemic effects in diabetic animals. It also has a number of other biological properties, including antiviral and anticancer activity. Geniposide binds to the DNA of human cells and inhibits the transcription of genes involved in tumor growth and metastasis. It may also induce apoptosis by binding to cell factor, a protein that regulates the proliferation of cells. Geniposide has been shown to inhibit viral replication in vitro, which may be due to its ability to bind with dna. The concentration-time curve for geniposide shows an increased effect on infectious diseases as the concentration increases.
