N4-Acetyl-2'-O-methylcytidine is a chemical compound that is an analog of cytidine. Furiosus was found to contain this compound in its DNA by using posttranscriptional modification techniques such as high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and proton nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR).
