This drug has shown activity against a variety of human tumor cell lines in vitro and in vivo. 5'-Amino-5'-deoxy-2'-O-methyluridine also inhibits the growth of several bacterial strains, including methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Mycobacterium avium complex.
