1-Benzyl-3-carbamoylpyridinium bromide is a chemical compound that is used as a reagent in organic synthesis. It is soluble in acetonitrile, but not water. The solubility of 1-benzyl-3-carbamoylpyridinium bromide can be increased by adding an alkylating agent such as nicotinamide or an acid such as pyridine. The product will precipitate when it is added to a solution of sodium dithionite and chloride.
