Description :
3,5-Dimethyl-phenyl-phenyl-methanone (DMPPM) is a chromatographic stabilizer that is used in the production of dyes and pigments. DMPPM has been shown to work as an anti-diabetic agent by inhibiting the activity of glucokinase. It also has benzoylation properties, which provide a means for introducing benzoyl groups into aromatic molecules. This compound is synthesized by a process called vibrational spectroscopy and can be used as an exploratory tool in functional theories, such as thermodynamic calculations.
