Terbium nitrate hexahydrate is a compound of terbium, nitrogen, and oxygen with the chemical formula Tb(NO3)3. It is a salt that crystallizes in the orthorhombic system. Terbium nitrate hexahydrate has been shown to exhibit photocatalytic activity through the use of light irradiation. This compound absorbs light and produces reactive oxygen species (ROS), which can oxidize organic substances such as chloride or methylene blue to produce different products.
