• Description: 8-Bromoguanosine (8BrG) is a potent inhibitor of cyclase enzymes that lead to the formation of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). It has been shown to inhibit signal pathways, such as those regulated by the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR), which are activated by the 2-adrenergic receptor. 8BrG has been shown to be effective against C. glabrata and other fungi and has been used in experimental models for infectious diseases.
