Description :N4-Benzoyl-3'-O-tert-butyldimethylsilyl-5'-O-DMT-cytidine is a nucleoside with anticancer, antiviral, and antiretroviral properties. It is synthesized by reacting cytidine with benzoyl chloride in the presence of tert-butyldimethylsilyl chloride. N4-Benzoyl-3'-O-tert-butyldimethylsilyl-5'-O-DMTcytidine has shown to be a novel and potent inhibitor of the human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV1) reverse transcriptase. It also inhibits DNA synthesis and has been shown to inhibit tumor cell growth in vitro.
