L-Cytidine is a nucleoside that is found in the body, and is also used as a drug. It is a precursor to other nucleosides, such as cytidine triphosphate, which is involved in DNA synthesis and repair. L-Cytidine has also been shown to be reactive with halides, which may lead to unwanted side effects.
