Crenulatin is a coumarin derivative that functions as an anti-inflammatory drug. It has been shown to inhibit the production of fatty acids in the liver and adipose tissue, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the activity of enzymes involved in the metabolism of lipids. Crenulatin also inhibits collagen synthesis and has been shown to have antioxidant properties. Crenulatin can be used for the treatment of deficiency type diseases such as cancer, inflammatory diseases or blood deficiency. The effective dose for crenulatin is not yet known but it is thought to be between 1 and 100 milligrams per day.
